WeCare Wales is the national attraction and recruitment campaign for social care, childcare and early years. The campaign aims to:
- Raise the profile and understanding of roles in social care, early years and child care.
- Improving perceptions of care as a carer and a profession with opportunities to progress
- Enhancing public understanding of the care sectors and drawing into the workforce those with the right values
The WeCare Wales website contains a number of very useful resources, case studies and a free jobs portal for social care employers to advertise their vacancies and support attraction and recruitment to the sector. The Regional Partnership Team has been a key stakeholder in the development of the WeCare Wales campaign. We have co-ordinated and produced various social media assets and content featuring the local Gwent workforce to support WeCare Wales campaign activity at a local level. We also continue to promote the campaign and its resources in local schools.
